Defending Arsland

Game made for the Mix And Game Jam 2020 in 48 hours.

Theme: Mixing Genres.

The game is a Deck Building, Turn Based, Tower Defense game.

Objective

Defeat all the sci-fi invaders before they reach your castle.

(Enemies come in waves, you get some preparation time before each wave)

Instructions

Game work in turns: Player -> Enemies -> Defense forces

On each turn you can:

Move: Click on the player to enable the move action then click again where you want to move

Take one of the following actions:

Use a card: Click a card to use it, right click to cancel

Magic cards effect the shown area and are returned to your deck

building cards are placed on the map and do not return to your deck

Use the shop:

You can use to the shop to buy new cards, sell one of the cards in your hand or upgrade one of the cards in your hand

You can skip the rest of your turn at any time by pressing the skip button.

Extra Info

- Walls and spikes can only be placed on the road

- Towers can only be placed on the grass

- You can only place buildings up to a certain range from the player

- Each magic card has its own range

Buildings

Archer Tower - Fires multiple times at one enemy per turn

Ice Tower - Slows down all enemies in its range for a few turns

Fire Tower - Damages all enemies in its range each turn

Wall - Blocks enemies from moving

Spikes - Damages enemies if they end their turn in their area

Spells

Slow Potion - Slows down enemies for a few turns (same as ice tower)

Teleport - Move to any location on the map
